Why Does the HSO Require Membership Dues?
Why Does the HSO Require Membership Dues?
Membership dues are necessary to help us pay the following operational expenses:
Expenses associated with our monthly socials
1/2 off our required insurance policy
Publicity materials
Our website
Our PO Box
Currently membership dues cover less than 18% of all our operating expenses.
The board fundraises to cover the rest of our operation expenses.
Eligibility:
Spouses or significant others of currently serving, retired or deceased members of the United States Armed Forces and its Allies, assigned to or residing in the HAFB area. Any currently serving member of the United States Armed Forces, Guard Forces, Reserve Forces and its Allies, assigned to or residing in the HAFB area. Community DVs are also encouraged to join.
The President or an Advisor may waive certain membership requirements.
Individuals who are eligible for membership in the HSO may attend one function or activity as a guest prior to becoming a member. The Board of Governors reserves the right to limit a function to members only.
The Board of Governors may revoke membership with just cause.
Membership shall not be denied to anyone because of age, race, religion, color, national origin, disability, ethnic group, sexual orientation, gender, or socio-economic status.
